Lisa Tan is a partner of Russakow & Tan, LLP.  Her clients include companies in a variety of industries including software, financial services, pharmaceutical, apparel, marketing, sales and distribution organizations.  Ms. Tan specializes in employment and business litigation, with particular emphasis on partnership disputes, unfair competition, business fraud, complex contractual, business tort matters for major local and national clients. She has also represented clients in litigation involving international business disputes.  Her experience includes all aspects of litigation from mediations to trials and arbitrations. 

 

Ms. Tan is often asked to advise companies of all sizes on internal procedures, policies and agreements regarding employee hiring, termination, severance, and benefits negotiations.  She advises companies on legal considerations when employees move between competitors; on fashioning restrictive covenant and intellectual property ownership agreements and protocols for resolving intellectual property use and ownership disputes outside of court. 

 

Ms. Tan also assists companies with strategic planning regarding organizing and structuring new businesses including drafting all relevant incorporation and start-up documentation and agreements. She advises corporations, LLCs, partnerships and other entities on a broad spectrum of matters, as well as assisting them in resolving disputes.

 

Ms. Tan received the distinction of being named “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine in 2009 – 2015.  She recently notified that she has been selected “Super Lawyer” for 2019.  She was also voted "Top Attorney" by her peers in Pasadena Magazine in 2009 - 2013.

 

Ms. Tan received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California.  Ms. Tan is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and the United States District Court, Central and Northern Districts.
